There is a tantalizing choice of 8,9,and 12 day horseback safaris to choose from, riding through areas of stunning beauty, like the Chyulu Hills which are less than 500 years old and are believed to be the youngest mountain range in the world, lying in the shadow of the "Grandfather of them all" Mt. Kilimanjaro.
You could visit Amboseli National Park, "the place of water" in Masai. The swamps and streams attract large herds of elephant, zebra, giraffe and impala as well as an abundance of birds, which in turn attracts the birds of prey. There is Lake Nakuru renowned for its birdlife, or the Masai Mara Game Reserve which is an extension of the Serengeti (Tanzania) considered to be Kenya's most outstanding wildlife sanctuary where animals can be seen in vast numbers. Lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant, hippo, crocodile, antelope and gazelle are some of the many species found.
